The Walters are an unsigned 5-part, indie rock/alternative band from Chicago and they should be playing through your headphones right now. Formed in 2014, Walter Kosner (the band’s namesake) dropped out of DePaul University and recruited Luke Olson (lead vocals and guitar), Michael Tirabassi (vocal and guitar), Danny Wells (bass), and Charlie Ekhaus (drums). Their first record, Songs for Dads, (containing six songs) was released in 2014 and immediately started to climb on Spotify’s United States Viral Top 50. Throughout the years they have released singles, with their latest being She’s Gonna Leave You in 2017. Their mellow, upbeat, and occasional melancholy songs are perfect for any mood and deliver beautiful and well crafted lyrics that sync with the music perfectly.
